That's a great term and I may start using it. ABSCII art! I've been making this stuff for a few years at least and I've never really came up with a good term. When you say ASCII art people just think of the more common type.
Thanks for writing about the work, I could always use the viewers/traffic. I also make digital prints of some of the work for gallery settings, but they loose the fun of the animated gifs.
