These guerrilla installations call upon the spirit of graffiti functioning as temporary mash-ups of institutionally sanctioned work and the web-art underground." THANKS ALFREDO FOR MAKIN IT HAPPEN!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got back from the opening! The show looks great... I wish I could have stayed longer, but you know how it is. Thanks Lindsay Howard for making it happen. Thanks Fe Gallery for doing it up! Sorry for the phone camera quality pix - they def don't do the show justice... its pretty mind blowing IRL.

Installing this week for my show at Penn State Altoona. Show opens on Thursday - and I'm really happy with how everything is turning out. Here's a sneak peak:

Some pics from my installation this past weekend at The Eclipse Gallery in Algoma, WI. I installed two small monitors and a projection. The work shown is the sweet of animated gifs I posted here a week or so ago ( 1, 2, 3 ). These are from what I shot, and you can see more on the gallery's flickr. The show is up until March so if you're in Northern WI looking for something to do, stop on by... its a great space run by great people!

Work first seen on this is blog is part of a small exhibition set up by Chris Ashley at his private gallery Some Walls. I'm really excited/happy about the show and Chris's very thoughtful essay about the work. If you have a chance, check it out!!!!

Some shots from the exhibition that opened this past weekend up in Door County, Wisconsin. A panorama of the show here, it probably won't fit in the format of this blog. Other artists in the show were Marc Tasman, Renato Umali, and James Barany. It was a great show and interesting to see people look at digital media for what seemed like the first time ever in a gallery setting. Thanks James for the heads up on this show!
Although I no longer have a studio there, I've installed some of the work featured here in the Kenilworth building at UW - Milwaukee for the Peck School of The Arts Open House which is this coming weekend. Here is a preview of what I've put up.

From Make Your Own History:
and one from something else:
Here are some images from a slightly less grid related project I am involved in with Brandon Bauer. It's made up of a series of animated gifs, collected texts, monitor installation, and drawings on the space. It will be shown in the Make Your Own History exhibition. I borrowed these from Brandon's Flickr Site...Check it:

A version of the project that I presented for my MFA is included in a show at an airport in Russia. Here's the link to the list of participants where you can see me amongst the group under "video"
Illuminators Particpants (english)
and also below is a video of a newscast about the opening... it doesn't show my project and its Russian, but it looks like an interesting event.
